Autism Safety Training for First Responders, Law Enforcement, Medical Personnel, and Educators

  • How to recognize persons with Autism.

  • What to expect when responding to an emergency situation that includes an individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • How to best interact with persons with Autism during emergency situations. 

  • How to involve civilians in a rescue team that mobilize when first responders need assistance in interacting with persons with Autism.

  • How First Responders can minimize the trauma to an individual with autism when confronted by a dangerous/threatening situation such as a fire, natural disaster, auto accident, civil unrest, domestic dispute, or injury.

  • FINDER Protocol™:  How to swiftly locate an individual with ASD who has wandered

  • How to incorporate the School District’s automated call system to all homes to alert that a child is missing or has wandered
